Tapping into, experiencing, and channeling the Divine Feminine essence has been at the core of my artistic and spiritual practice. I have never been particularly interested in the representation of my personal and physical identity, but rather in the representation of the Great Mother; Her beauty, compassion, and wisdom. 40 Early Mornings (2103) and In The Name of God (2013) depict my personal and ongoing relationship to The Divine Feminine through the Muslim faith, while The Life and Death of Marie (2010-2014) chronicles my performances as a Queen archetype named "Marie". The Immaculate She's (2006-2007) are a series of oil paintings depicting several interpretations of the Goddess.
